Lunch Bucket

by MaryBeth

Here was the “note home from school” conversation today:

“This says you kids are supposed to pack your own lunch from now on.”

“Hallelujah Mary And Joseph!  I have been waiting for this day.”

“It says you are supposed to pack a wholesome, nutritious lunch.”

     “…just a quick trek to the mini-mart, and I am in heaven…gotta make a list…”

“…and that by packing your own lunch you will be more likely to eat it…”

“Mine’s going to be this can of sloppy joes and some ketchup.”

“that by packing your own lunch you will be more aware of good nutrition…”

“Not me, I’m having a celery stick and that’s it.”

“….and that the food pyramid is of the utmost importance…”

“…let’s see here,  pringles, a can of cheese, nutterbutters, ummm..oh yeah grape jelly ummm that should do it.  Be right back Mom..”

     “Please buy something greeeeen…”

     “Don’t worry, they’ve got sour apple airheads….”

     Crazy school.
